Family Drive Day: Anthony Lakes, Oregon

So the family decided to go for a drive to the Anthony Lakes, Oregon on the 19th of October, 2011. We drove an hour to La Grande where we had lunch over at Primos (our favorite all you can eat pizza place) then headed to our destination after.

Anthony Lakes is well known for it’s ski resort, camping, fishing, biking, and hiking. It is a natural lake with an elevation of 7,100 feet for the campground alone.

The drive going to the lake is very pretty! It’s my first time to see pine trees that changes their color. The yellow cone if that’s what it is called is spectacular. It was beautiful!

We got there at around 2:30 p.m. We took the kids out and it was colder than we expected. DJ my older son was freezing. Before anything else, we had to feed dear miss little girl (she’s 9 months old) before we started our tour. So we decided to walk around the loop.

As we were getting ready to leave, a friendly pretty bird decided to pose for us. It was a lot of fun and looking forward to visit Anthony Lakes again during winter. We’ve only been to 1 lake but we were told there’s few more lakes out there but you have to hike to get to them which are even bigger than this one. Interesting isn’t it?
